D-III coach volunteers to be tased to 'boost team morale' (Video)

Sometimes, as preseason camp drags on, it’s difficult for players to have the same type of motivation that they did at the beginning of camp. So, coaches often will plan activities to break up the monotony and energize the team.

However, Division III Centre College (Danville, Ky.) defensive line coach Jeffrey Collett took this motivational task to a whole new level.

According to the Louisville Courier Journal, Collett volunteered to be tased in front of the team “to boost morale.”

There’s something to be said about a bunch of young men cheering as one of their coaches slinks to the ground in agony while volts of electricity surges through his body.

What’s funny is that Centre College is a good team that won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference last season with a 6-0 conference record and 10-1 overall.

Geez, I’d hate to see what Collett, a 2010 graduate of the program, would do if the Colonels ever got down because of a losing streak.
