Just when you thought Mike Trout couldn't raise the bar any higher, the Los Angeles Angels center fielder amazes us again by throwing the bar through the ceiling.
During Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners, Trout pulled off perhaps the most insane catch of his career by literally climbing the center field wall at Angel Stadium and taking away a would-be three-run homer from Jesus Montero.

That's no exaggeration, either.
Trout raced over from right-center field and got to the wall in plenty of time to measure his move. As the ball neared, Trout timed his jump, planted his right foot in the wall and then pulled himself up the wall with his right arm. That allowed Trout to extend his glove an extra two or three feet above the wall, which allowed him to pull the baseball back.

The human cheat code is right.
Trout has made his share of ridiculous catches over the years, including multiple home run robberies. His catch going high above the wall in Baltimore stands out among those. But as some have said on social media, this is the type of highlight that goes on a Hall of Fame reel. The type of highlight that MLB runs over and over again, even after Trout's playing days are done.
It's a signature moment in an already remarkable career, and we all get to watch it again and again.
