Teri Hatcher is a woman without her $1000 bike after some punk jacked it from a local shop ... and now cops are investigating.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the "Desperate Housewives" actress had her bike at a Los Angeles repair shop two weeks ago when the theft occurred. We're told an employee who was working on the bike left it outside for just a couple minutes and when he returned, the bike was gone.
LAPD is now on the case ... reviewing surveillance footage to try and nab the crook.
But don't worry, we're told Teri will be able to get right back into triathlons ... the shop owner is going to foot the bill for a new bike.
