Britain's Mo Farah is chasing a unique 'triple-double' when he lines up for Saturday's world 5,000m final.

The 32-year-old, who won the 5,000m and 10,000m double at the 2012 Olympics and 2013 World Championships, has already taken the 10,000m title in Beijing.

Winning the 5,000m, live on BBC One at 12:30 BST, would also be a record third world title over that distance.

Fellow Briton Tom Farrell is also racing but Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha is likely to provide the main competition.

Farah, who claimed his sixth successive global title when he won 10,000m gold last weekend, was almost pushed over on the final bend of his 5,000m qualifying heat.

The defending champion was touched on the back by Canada's Mohammed Ahmed but just managed to stay on his feet.

He finished the race in second place, in a time of 13 minutes 19.44 seconds, just behind Kejelcha, who has the world leading time this year.

"No-one has done it [back-to-back World Championship doubles] and it would be amazing to make history," Farah said before the championships.

"To win both from Moscow to here would be incredible. It's not going to be easy but it can happen."
