Liverpool have accepted a bid worth up to £10m for forward Fabio Borini from fellow Premier League side Sunderland.

The Italy international, 24, had a loan spell with the Black Cats during the 2013-14 season, scoring seven goals in 32 matches.

However, he then rejected a permanent move to the Stadium of Light.

There are also bids on the table from Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Watford but none of those have so far proved acceptable to the Anfield club.

Borini was Brendan Rodgers's first signing as Liverpool manager when he paid Roma £11m in July 2012 after working with him at previous clubs Chelsea and Swansea.

He has scored three goals in 38 appearances for the Reds.
